Lenovo LePad compressed and IdeaPad U1 hybrid return with Android 2.2 in trailer

Remember last year's CES 2010 when Lenovo an enormous stage with Tablet netbook hybrid U1, which ran Windows when docked and Lenovo skylight in tablet mode Linux? And then Lenovo skylight of Android killed and just put on hold? In addition, it is back - and we just sometime serious practice with Chinese versions of what is now called the IdeaPad U1 hybrid with LePad Tablet production-ready. Things have changed for the better in the last year - in addition to Lenovo denuded version 2.2 Android (called LeOS, sigh), there is now a newer GHz 1.3 Begonia in the LePad and a 1.2 GHz Intel Core i5-540UM U1 database. Switching from Windows to Android just requires the lock on the basis of disengagement - flip to Android is essentially instantaneous, then to return to Windows takes a few seconds. U1 is much more enjoyable that unity we played last year, it was renamed and equipped with a convoluted trackpad chiclet style keyboard. Better yet, LePad offers now a 10.1 1280 x 800 display capacitive multitouch, instead of the resistive diskette unit we saw last year. The two pieces are thin enough individually but docked to make a fairly portable chunky - but you get the two machines for the price of one.

Now for the bad news - the LePad will run about $ 520 when it comes to China this quarter, but the complete kit of U1 will run $1300. There is also no U.S. availability or price right now - and Lenovo have said that the U1 hit the States until Android 3.0 runs if we could pending reskins OS society while months. And we have to wait even longer Lenny to redesign the LePad for this supposed dual-core CPU requirement - but then, he has been a year. We are ready to love the U1 - hybrid we can wait a little longer, we assume that. Video and PR after the break.
