Google build its own NFC payments system?

Can't say we're surprised to hear it all, but according to Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Google working on its own NFC mobile payment system. Makes sense perfect that Eric Schmidt has been enthusiastically extolling the virtues of the NFC since just before that Google launched S Nexus - which, of course, features a chip NFC.
