It has been a hot minute since we have seen new people Swann security tools, but is hit back with a new camera mounted head at CES. The Sportscam is a familiar device - similar to the outline and Go Pro units we have toyed with in the past - but instead of searching the image at a price of premium quality, this guy adheres to the basic principles. The VGA camera only log clips at a resolution of 640 x 480, so addicted HD better look elsewhere. But still is encased in a layer of resistant plastic, one that is 7.1 and waterproof, and is able to accommodate up to five hours of footage in only one 16 GB microSD card. There is going to last 2.5 hours Li-ion rechargeable battery, and accompanied by a variety of mounting options (though we suggest around in his head, obviously). As we mentioned earlier, this is a product of low end and that $99 price may attract those who wouldn't otherwise never be such a thing. The full version is after the holidays, and will begin shipping in the United States next month.
